Air fryer fajitas are a quick and easy way to make delicious and flavorful fajitas using your air fryer. The air fryer cooks the ingredients to perfection, creating tender and juicy meat along with nicely charred vegetables. Here's a simple recipe to make air fryer fajitas:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) chicken breast or beef strips (sliced)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fajita seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
- 8 small flour tortillas
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chopped cilantro, lime wedges, etc.
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced chicken or beef with the sliced bell peppers and thinly sliced onion.
Drizzle the olive oil over the mixture and add the fajita seasoning. Toss everything together until the meat and vegetables are evenly coated with the seasoning and oil.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Once the air fryer is preheated, add the seasoned chicken or beef, bell peppers, and onions to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook the fajita mixture in the air fryer for approximately 10-12 minutes, shaking or stirring the ingredients halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
While the fajitas are cooking, you can warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave according to the package instructions.
Once the fajita mixture is cooked and the meat is fully cooked through, remove the basket from the air fryer.
Serve the air fryer fajitas on warmed flour tortillas and add your desired toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chopped cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice.
Fold the tortillas over the filling to create your fajitas, and they are ready to be enjoyed!
Air fryer fajitas are a fantastic and convenient way to make this Tex-Mex favorite. The air fryer helps create delicious, well-seasoned fajitas with minimal effort and cleanup. Feel free to customize the recipe by adding your favorite toppings or using different types of meat or vegetables. Enjo
