Classic Club Sandwich

The Classic Club Sandwich is a timeless and satisfying lunch option that consists of layers of sliced meats, cheeses, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and creamy mayo, all stacked between toasted bread. Here's how to make a delicious Classic Club Sandwich:

Ingredients:

  • 3 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your preferred choice)
  • 2-3 slices of cooked turkey or chicken
  • 2-3 slices of cooked ham
  • 2-3 slices of cooked bacon
  • 2 lettuce leaves (e.g., iceberg or romaine)
  • 2-3 slices of ripe tomatoes
  • 2 slices of cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Toothpicks or sandwich picks (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Toast the bread slices lightly until they are golden brown and crispy. You can also lightly butter the bread if you prefer.

  2. Lay one of the toasted bread slices on a clean surface or plate.

  3. Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly on one side of the bread.

  4. Layer the sandwich as follows: Add lettuce leaves on top of the mayonnaise, followed by a slice of turkey or chicken, a slice of cheese, and a slice of ham.

  5. Place another toasted bread slice on top of the ham layer.

  6. Repeat the mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and cheese layer.

  7. Finally, add the third toasted bread slice on top, pressing it down gently to hold the layers together.

  8. If your club sandwich is tall, insert toothpicks or sandwich picks along the corners to secure the layers.

  9. Cut the sandwich diagonally into two or four pieces, depending on your preference.

Serve your Classic Club Sandwich with some pickle spears or potato chips on the side for a delicious and satisfying lunch! You can also customize the ingredients to your liking, such as adding avocado slices or swapping the meats and cheeses. Enjoy!
